A Superior Technology for AAV Titer Determination and Quantification Droplet Digital PCR (ddPCR) offers greater accuracy and precision in quantifying viral titer in gene therapies. This method involves amplifying and counting target nucleic acid molecules in discrete, volumetrically defined droplet partitions using endpoint PCR. ddPCR does not rely on measuring amplification levels to assess the presence of individual gene sequences; therefore, it is less sensitive to the secondary DNA structures that affect the accuracy of qPCR.
